Trip to Denver

On December, 12 Matthias and I headed to Denver to meet my cousin Michelle's new boyfriend Nathan.

We were ready to get out of town for the weekend so when Michelle asked us to come to Denver to meet Nathan we were pretty excited. Denver also has Bass Pro which gave us even more reason to go. Nathan and Matthias of course have a lot in common from their love of camping, fishing, and hunting to the love of old vehicles and fixing them up.

We stayed at Nathan's house in the mountains is was beautiful you could walk out on the balcony and the mountains were right there. We had a lot of fun with Nathan and Michelle he is a really great guy and we plan to go up and visit again. We are hoping he can come out and visit us soon. He is wanting to visit the dairy's.

On Saturday we made a trip to Bass Pro where of course Matthias and I could have spent millions. We looked at purchasing a boat but decided the one we looked at was to small. So in August we are looking at purchasing a little bit bigger one. Matthias is pretty excited about it.

New Furniture

We updated our living room and bedroom furniture. When I moved in with Matthias he had a older couch that had seen its better days. In 2007 I had purchased a new couch, chair, and foot rest. So of course when I moved out to Matthias's house we moved in my newer furniture. Which wasn't bad but Matthias really wanted a recliner so we purchased this BEAUTIFUL furniture on Feb. 6 2010. We are enjoying it very much and can't wait for our family and friends to enjoy it with us.

We also purchased a new KING size bed it is

HUGE. Matthias and I just love it there is so much room and if looks amazing in our room. However I will be repainting due to the fact that the color of the walls will not match the new Camo Bedspread I will be getting from Cabelas. I will probably be painting either some form of brown or a green based on the bedspread. I wasn't very fond of the wall color so getting the bed was a good chance for me to get to repaint.

Snow+Gator=Sledding

Suprise Suprise I had never been sledding so after we got a nice snow we decided to go. Matthias and I headed over to Andrew and Meghan's to take the kids sledding. The little girls had a great time of course so did the boys between the seven kids myself, Matthias and Andrew we had a awesome time taking turns being pulled around by the gator on of course a old pickup hood.

We had a great time. Later that evening after some of the children had left Matthias, Joe, Andrew, Candice, and Meghan had a hog to butcher. I choose not to take pictures of that.

1970 Chevy

This is my husband's work in progress a 1970 292 four wheel drive step side Chevy. We purchased this for Matthias because when he was a teenager he owed one almost just like this. He paid a guy to fix it up for him and that never happened and when he went back to get the pickup and some of the part it was GONE.

Matthias was pretty beat up about it since this was his first vehicle. So we found this one in Garden and we decided to bid on it and Matthias got it for a grand total of $3500.00.

We would someday like to go all out and redo everything interior paint the whole nine yards. Right now Matthias is working on the motor he is taking the old in line 6 out and putting in a V8 which is the motor from the pickup that was stolen from him.

Matthias really enjoys his pickup and I hope that someday it will all be fixed up and look amazing because Matthias sure has been working hard on it.

Picture Canyon

We went to Picture Canyon today with Joe and Candice. We had a great time and I believed we walked about 5 miles. I got to practice with the new camera think I got some pretty good pictures. Picture Canyon was beautiful.

First Post

So I just starting bloggging not really sure how it will go. I just got a new camera and I am pretty excited about getting to us it and post the pictures.
My husband Matthias has been working on his 1970 Chevy pickup and I have been photographing the repairs. I plan on posting before and after photos.
Today we are headed to Picture Canyon with my brother and sister in-law hope to practice with the new camera and get some great pictures to post.
I am also looking at picking up a new hobby (scrapbooking). I am excited it will be something I will have in common with my sister in-law Candice. Since my husband and his brother Joe have so much in common and share at lot of the same hobbies i figured it would be something I could enjoy and share with Candice.
We also have two great friends Lucus,Brandi,and there 7 month old daughter Makenzie. Brandi and I work together and we became great friends we spent a lot of time hanging out with them and we just love their little angel.
